Confluence’s Eric Doyle, Senior Aquatic Ecologist, earned the 2023 President’s Fishery Conservation Award from the American Fisheries Society. The AFS recognized Eric and his partnership with the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation (CTCR) for “significant leadership in adapting and integrating the Ecosystem Diagnosis and Treatment model (EDT) to an evaluation of the Okanogan subbasin.” Eric’s work with the CTCR and other partners enables translation of complex physical and biological data into useful habitat performance metrics. Eric’s methodology can be found in the publication he authored with John Arterburn and Ryan Klett, “Integrating Ecosystem Models with Long-Term Monitoring to Support Salmon Recovery” in Fisheries (2022). Way to go, Eric!
