Job Overview:
We’re seeking a proactive, people-oriented Office Manager to support the day-to-day operations of our environmental consulting firm. This role is ideal for a self-starter who takes initiative, thrives on creating a positive and welcoming office atmosphere, and enjoys being the go-to person for keeping things running smoothly. The ideal candidate is cheerful, approachable, and service-minded, with a knack for building strong relationships across the team. Strong organizational skills and a talent for planning events—from team meetings to staff celebrations—are essential, as this role helps foster our collaborative culture and ensures our office is a place where people enjoy coming to work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the office runs efficiently, including supply ordering, organizing common spaces, and welcoming guests
- Serve as a liaison to external vendors (e.g., building management, IT support)
- Lead our Fun Committee, plan, and execute all staff events and celebrations
- Support the accounting department, as needed
- Assist with general administrative and office support tasks
Desired Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in an administrative or office support role
- Background in customer service
- Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Professional, courteous, and enthusiastic demeanor
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport across the team
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- “Jack or Jane of all trades” mindset
- Strong proof-reading/editing skills a plus
- Reliable transportation
